Happy Birthday Josie ! March 5th

E-mail Print

My best wishes on your birthday Josie. I hope you, Lanie and your friends in Wales had a good celebration on your birthday.

A white flower for your birthday

Purity of Intentions. Enjoy the white flower for your birthday. White for purity - to capture the purity of your intentions in helping all those who needed your help. My wish for you is that you will always have good health and long life so that you will be able to continue with this path and have a good life,

Sharing myself. As part of your birthday gift, I share with you (the first one to view) my revised personal page : CGC's Reflections along with two poems I wrote: "All these, but more ..." and "World of Dreams". The first poem captures how I feel about people who mean so much to me. The second shares a glimpse of what I wish to be and how to relate with people.

Roses in early Summer (London and Paris). For your enjoyment on this special day, I share with you a few more roses (click thumbnail below) taken from Kew Gardens (London) and Paris, France. These flowers are part of the memories my visit in England and Paris during the early Summer of 2001. [Please click on the thumbnail of the rose (below) to view more of the roses.]

Virtual Tour of Boston. During our last conversation on the phone, you asked about the Swan Boats here in Boston. As part of this special day gift for you, I share images of the images of the Swan Boats taken in early Winter 2007.

Click on the image to view more photos of the Boston Commons and the adjacent Public Gardens where the "Swan Boats" travel a whole circle in a small pond, with its own mini-island and a walk bridge that separates two parts of the pond.

The images were taken in early Spring. At this time of the year, the leaves are young green, the patches of tulips -- red orange, violet, whilte, yellow -- are in full bloom and so are many early Spring flowering ttrees.

Early Sprng is the best time to visit the Boston Public Gardens. But, throughout the year, the combination of the waater scenery, the Chinese Willow trees lining the pond, as well as evergreen trees make this area an oasis in the city.

The adjacent Boston Commons is more like the Hyde Park in London and the Central Park of New York. Because it is at the heart of Boston Downtown, it is always bustling with activitiies, and people from all walks of life and from all over the world.

In early Spring, the Boston Common is a nice place to take a break and just sit on the grass, play handball, or go running. There is also a basebaall diamond that is open until early Fall. There are tennis courts where the public can play.

The many walk paths also is one of the favorites of young people to skate. Come Summer, the grounds near the Park Subway will be street artists, mostly local but usually also visitors from other countries. All year round though, perhaps the favorite is people watching.

You will find in the images also one of the oldest cemeteries in Boston dating back all the way the 18th Century.

In the days to come, I will share more links about Boston, one of the places in the world where I feel most at home,

From your Brother,
Boy
